Love it - installed in 2012 Ford Escape
Thanks to the previous two reviewers who left comments about having to modify the power seat rails as there are no instructions. I did that with an angle grinder, two cuts to a side. I then bent the tab left behind back and forth until it snapped off. Overall it was about 90 minutes start to finish to put in. I will agree with the comments about it being well built and strong - it appears to be. No worries on my part about it being too flimsy. The seat goes way back, far beyond my needs. It will let the seat move back to within 1/2" of the back seat. Essentially that's as far as possible in an Escape because the rear axle is under the back seat and there is no more floor left. No matter how tall you are, you'll be happy with this extender or an Escape is impossible for you. This extender points out how ridiculously biased in favor of the short the stock adjustment is - even with nearly 6" further travel backwards, my 5' 2" wife is OK with the extender installed. She moves the seat back about 3/4" from its full forward travel now. I would guess if any other driver is at least 5', they'll be OK with the extender installed in the vehicle.
